PGE Utility Work Impacting 238th Drive: RESCHEDULED
*This project has been delayed until Summer 2021! Please follow the update through the Multnomah County website found here.
Work by a Portland General Electric contractor will impact traffic at times on NE 238th Drive between NE Sandy Blvd and NE Glisan Street in the City of Wood Village. The contractor will install new transmission poles, new overhead power lines, and replace wood power poles between Blue Lake Park and the McGill substation west of 242nd Ave. The 3.8 mile route includes a section on NE 238th Drive between NE Arata Road and NE Glisan Street where work will begin next week.
Lanes may be closed and turn movements restricted between 9 am and 3 pm on weekdays. Two-way traffic on NE 238th Drive will be maintained, with brief delays. The work on NE 238th Drive should be complete by May. Work on other parts of the route will continue later in 2020.
Drivers can use alternate routes such as NE 223rd Ave. and NE 257th Drive to avoid delays during work hours.
Multnomah County maintains NE 238th Drive and more than 274 miles of roads. For more information, visit www.multco.us/roads or follow us on Twitter @multcoroads.
