PGE Utility Work Impacting 238th Drive: RESCHEDULED

*This project has been delayed until Summer 2021!

Please follow the update through the Multnomah County website.

Work by a Portland General Electric contractor will impact traffic at times on Northeast 238th Drive between Northeast Sandy Blvd and Northeast Glisan Street in the City of Wood Village. The contractor will install new transmission poles, new overhead power lines, and replace wood power poles between Blue Lake Park and the McGill substation west of 242nd Avenue. The 3.8 mile route includes a section on Northeast 238th Drive between Northeast Arata Road and Northeast Glisan Street where work will begin next week.

Lanes may be closed and turn movements restricted between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays. 2-way traffic on Northeast 238th Drive will be maintained, with brief delays. The work on Northeast 238th Drive should be complete by May. Work on other parts of the route will continue later in 2020.

Drivers can use alternate routes such as Northeast 223rd Ave. and Northeast 257th Drive to avoid delays during work hours.

Multnomah County maintains Northeast 238th Drive and more than 274 miles of roads.  For more information, visit the Multnomah County website or follow us on Twitter.
