Community Events

Community Events

Community events help bring everyone together to celebrate not just our collective identity as Wood Village community members, but to share cultural identities, customs, and practices with one another. In addition, these events help connect community members and guests with area services, organizations, and businesses. We recognize financial barriers that exist in our  community, which is why we strive to have events that can be attended and enjoyed at no cost.

Community Event Grants

The City of Wood Village hosts several community events throughout the year. Many of these events have been around for decades, and have become a tradition for many of our community members. The City also recognizes that there are other emerging community events and activities that are not hosted by the City but offer enjoyment, information, and connectivity to our community as well. The City would like to help sponsor these community events with its community event grant program. The program is on a first come-first-serve basis, and provides a sponsorship of up to $1,000 per event.
