Latest Updates to Donald L. Robertson City Park
Changes are currently underway at the Donald Robertson Park to make it easier and better for guests to picnic and BBQ in the park. When completed, visitors will be able to enjoy upgraded picnic tables, the addition of ADA accessible tables, and an added section of picnic tables that support multi-family gatherings. Picnic area improvements will also feature barbecue grills and garbage receptacles. In addition to the picnic improvements, we’re also upgrading the northern baseball facility with new fencing, bleachers, and player benches. The south backstop has been removed for field activities more appropriate for that section of the park. The park restrooms have also been repainted a lighter color to help improve visibility. The project is scheduled to be completed in time for Summer activities in early June.
The City Council approved the bid award for the improvements to Paul Brothers Inc., a local East County contractor. The project is funded in part with Community Development Block Grant funds and City funds.
