This project which will replace the waterline, repair the sewer line, and construct a new storm line is well underway. The topo survey has been completed, and we are now working on core samples of the roadway. These cores will help us determine what kind of roadway base we have, and what will be needed to ensure that the new roadway will last for decades to come.
We expect to have preliminary cost estimates in February, which will let us know if we can proceed this year, or have to wait until the next budget year to complete the project. All affected residents in the construction area will be notified long before any major roadwork begins. You may notice, or be slightly impacted by the coring work, but disruptions should be minimal. If all goes well, construction on this project could begin this spring.
