Special Recycling & Waste Programs

Electronic Recycling Program

Old electronics cluttering up your house? Dumping electronics in regular garbage and recycling collections is banned in Oregon. Use the DEQ E-Cycle Tool to find a free electronic recycler near you.

Annual Leaf Drop Program

The Annual Leaf Drop off is open from the end of October until December 31 each year at the Donald L Robertson City Park (JPEG). Leaves and small branches/twigs are allowed at the drop off. No branches larger than 3 inches in diameter, stumps, or other yard debris are allowed. The drop off area is in the east park parking lot, near the playground. Please call City Hall at (503) 667-6211 with questions.

Holiday Recycling & Garbage Collection

Garbage and recycling are collected on all holidays except Christmas and New Year’s Day.

If your collection day falls on or after Christmas or New Year’s Day, collection will be one day later that week with Friday customers being serviced on Saturday.

Tree Recycling

Curbside Waste Management customers may recycle trees in place of regular yard debris set out at no extra charge. Trees over 6 feet tall must be cut in half. There will be an extra fee for any additional yard waste collected the same week as your tree. Flocked trees are accepted as extra garbage pickup for an extra fee per 6-foot sections. Trees with tinsel or ornaments may not be recycled; remove those items. Don’t have curbside service, use the Find a Recyler Tool from Metro to find an easy option.
