Application Guidelines
- Live in Wood Village
- Completion of High School or GED Program
- Will start, or continue at, an accredited college, university, or trade school in Fall 2026
- Demonstrates financial need
- Minimum GPA of 2.0
- Completed application
- In-Person Meeting: If you are selected as a finalist, there will be an in-person meeting with the scholarship committee. This meeting will be an opportunity for you to share additional information related to your background, goals and plans for your future.
Applications are due by May 31, 2026.

All materials must be submitted by the application deadline to be considered. Please do not submit materials prior to the application period.

Personal Contact Information
Each applicant must provide contact information.
Educational Background
Each applicant must provide a basic school history and plan for continuing education.
Essay Questions
Each applicant must provide responses to four questions included in the application. Each response should not be more than 250 words.
Alternatively, applicants may submit an audio or visual recording responding to each question in about 250 words for each question.
GPA Documentation
Each applicant must provide an unofficial high school or college transcript, GED certificate or other document(s) indicating grade point average and readiness for continuing education.
Proof of Financial Need
Each applicant must provide either a detailed narrative explanation or budgetary spreadsheet demonstrating financial need, such as cost of tuition, housing, books, materials & supplies, et cetera. Please also attach documents, letters, or other items that help show and explain a financial need. Please remove/blackout any social security numbers on the forms before turning them in.
Examples of proof of financial need:
- Letters or documents showing eligibility for the free or reduced lunch program
- Letters or documents related to food benefits like SNAP or WIC
- Letters or documents from a non-profit or service organization that helps explain or show financial need
- State/Federal tax returns – please remove/blackout any social security numbers on the forms before turning them in
- The following items will work to show financial need, and may also qualify a student for federal/state loans or grants:
- Copy of FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa; or
- ORSAA (Oregon Student Aid Application) at https://oregonstudentaid.gov/fafsa-orsaa.aspx
The following materials are recommended but not required as part of the application:
Letter of Recommendation
Each applicant may choose to provide a letter of recommendation on their behalf written by a teacher, mentor, coach, spiritual leader, etc. (may not be a relative).
Alternatively, applicants may submit a recommendation form completed on their behalf by a teacher, mentor, coach, spiritual leader, etc. (may not be a relative). Click here to view or download the recommendation form.
Artifacts
Each applicant may choose to provide other artifacts (e.g. artwork, essay, musical compositions, poems, photograph, articles, videos, etc.) that illustrates their life, passions, and goals for their future life.
