The City of Wood Village Opportunity Scholarship is established to help fund and assist students who reside in Wood Village and have a goal to continue their education after high school or GED program. The scholarship amount is a minimum of $1,250, plus a stipend to help cover required materials or supplies. The amounts depend on the number of applicants and funds available.
Application Guidelines
- Resident of Wood Village
- Completion of High School or GED Program
- Will start an accredited college, university, or trade school in Fall 2024
- Demonstrates financial need
- Minimum GPA of 2.0
- Completed application
- In-Person Meeting: If you are selected as a finalist, there will be an in-person meeting with the scholarship committee. This meeting will be an opportunity for you to share additional information related to your background, goals and plans for your future.
Applications are due by May 31, 2024.
