Utility Assistance programs

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The City Utility Assistance program provides Wood Village community members assistance with paying their City water and sewer bills.

Based on available funding, eligible applicants may receive one approved application per six months.

Am I eligible?

To determine if you are eligible for this program, read the section below. 

Eligible participants must meet ALL criteria below:

  • Wood Village Community Members
  • Receive their water and sewer bill directly from the City (not billed by landlord or property manager)
  • Enrolled in a local, state, or federal means-tested assistance program (e.g. SNAP, OHP, WIC, or other income-based program)
  • Have not received assistance from the City within the last 6 months (e.g. if you received assistance in January, you would not be eligible again until the following July)

If you are eligible for the City Utility Assistance program, you are not eligible for the Private Utility Assistance program.

    ABOUT THE PROGRAM

    The Private Utility Assistance program provides Wood Village community members assistance with paying their electricity or natural gas bills.

    Based on available funding, eligible applicants may receive one approved application per six months with a cap of $150.00 per application.

    Am I eligible?

    To determine if you are eligible for this program, read the section below. 

    Eligible participants must meet ALL criteria below:

    • Wood Village Community Members
    • Do NOT receive their water and sewer bill directly from the City (billed by landlord or property manager)
      • This applies to manufactured home parks, condos, apartments, and multi-family residences
    • Enrolled as a PGE or NW Natural customer
    • Enrolled in a local, state, or federal means-tested assistance program (e.g. SNAP, OHP, WIC, or other income-based program)
    • Have not received assistance from the City within the last 6 months (e.g. if you received assistance in January, you would not be eligible again until the following July)

    If you are eligible for the Private Utility Assistance program, you are not eligible for the City Utility Assistance program.
