Road work for the new rectangular rapid-flashing beacon (RRFB) pedestrian crossing at the Wood Village Blvd and NE Riverwood St intersection begins next week. Construction is expected to continue into early June.
Traffic delays and potential lane and sidewalk closures are expected during construction. Construction hours are limited between Monday-Friday from 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM.
About the Project
Leveraging funds from the ODOT Small Cities Allotment Grant, the City of Wood Village is constructing a new solar-powered rectangular rapid-flashing beacon (RRFB) pedestrian crossing with ADA-compliant curb ramps at the intersection of Wood Village Blvd and NE Riverwood St.
As required by State law, the City published a request for proposals for the construction of the project on March 4, 2025. The City received five total bids and four qualified bids. At their March 11, 2025 meeting, the City Council approved the bid award for construction of the project to Western United Civil Group.
