At their July 14, 2026 meeting, the City Council approved a proposed rate adjustment from Waste Management. The new rates will take effect August 1, 2026.
Recent changes in state recycling and waste reduction requirements have increased the cost of collecting, processing, and disposing of solid waste throughout Oregon. As a result, Waste Management requested a rate adjustment for customers in Wood Village to help offset these increased costs.
For most customers, the impact will be modest. Customers using the standard 35-gallon weekly garbage service would see an increase of $1.27 per month. A schedule of the proposed residential curbside collection rates is provided below. A full breakdown of all the rate adjustments can be found below in the Supporting Documents section.
