To ensure the City is able to keep up with adequate capital replacement and maintenance for City utilities and to avoid any drastic one-year increases, City utility rates will be increasing by 3% effective January 1, 2026. The City Council adopted the new rates based on the cost-of-living (CPI-U) index. For an average user of 6 ccf per month, this will increase the water and sewer portion of their bill by $3.02. The other portion of the bill, which includes street, stormwater, and the flood safety fee, will also increase by 3%.
