The Wood Village Community Garden is thriving thanks to the dedication of the community members who tend their plots throughout the growing season. From preparing soil and planting seeds to watering, weeding, and harvesting, gardeners invest countless hours of hard work to grow fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers.
Recently, there have been several incidents involving produce being harvested from garden plots without gardener permission. As a reminder, each garden plot is individually assigned through an annual registration program, and the produce grown within those plots belongs to the registered gardener responsible for its care.
We ask all visitors to help support our gardeners by respecting plot boundaries and leaving produce, flowers, and other plant materials for the individuals who have worked hard to grow them.
For those interested in harvesting fresh produce and herbs, the Edible Grove, located in the southwest corner of the park, remains open to the public. This shared community resource operates on a simple principle: take what you need and leave the rest for others.
