Due to forecasted rain, paving on the EAST side of NE 236th Ave between Shannon St & Shamrock Dr has been rescheduled for Friday, September 11.
September 11 Access Restrictions
- No vehicle access on treated section until pavement has cured.
- Community members should move vehicles outside the project area before work begins if they need access during the day.
- Homes in this area should place their waste bins outside the work zone before 6 a.m. to ensure pickup.
Community members are encouraged to avoid the area when possible and follow all posted traffic control signs and directions from work crews.

On Thursday, August 27, paving will take place on the WEST side of NE 236th Ave between Shannon St & Shamrock Dr. Door tags were placed Monday evening on all homes that may be impacted by the paving.
As a reminder, please:
- Remove vehicles from the street before 7 a.m. on Thursday
- If you need vehicle access during paving, please park outside of the work zone
- Offsite parking will be available at City Hall during work hours
- If possible, do not drive on the newly paved area until after 6 p.m. on Thursday, or preferably overnight
Garbage and recycling collection are scheduled as normal for Thursday morning, so homes in this area should place their bins outside the work zone.

Starting today, Monday, August 17, Meza Excavation & Construction will begin work on the City’s pavement rehabilitation project on NE 236th Avenue between Shannon Street and Shamrock Drive.
The project will include full roadway rehabilitation along this stretch of NE 236th Avenue, from the intersection of Holladay Place, Shamrock Drive, and 236th Avenue to the intersection of Shannon Street and 236th Avenue. The work is part of the City’s ongoing effort to improve roadway conditions and extend the life of local streets.
In addition to pavement rehabilitation, the project includes stormwater improvements designed by RH2 Engineering. Crews will install three new catch basins and replace one existing catch basin to better manage stormwater runoff in the area.
Door tags were placed last week on homes that may be impacted by construction. Road work is expected to continue for several weeks, and community members are encouraged to avoid the area if possible and follow all posted traffic control signage.
The City appreciates community members’ patience and cooperation while this important infrastructure improvement project is underway.
