Living History

What is an oral history?

Collecting oral histories is one of the best ways to shape the story of any community. By sharing your story, you help provide a glimpse into the history and lives of those who have lived, worked, immigrated, played, and so much more here in Wood Village.

Oral histories, while often recorded as audio, can also be submitted as written stories. The information and questions below can be used for inspiration as you consider what story, or stories, you would like to share as we celebrate seventy-five years as a city.

Just like our community, we hope the stories we gather reflect the incredible diversity of Wood Village, so please feel free to share your story in whichever language you feel most comfortable writing or speaking.
