About

The annual Wood Village free bulky waste collection will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 9 AM - 12 PM at the Old Multnomah Greyhound Park (944 NE 223rd Ave; access off of Wood Village Blvd). In partnership with our Reuse Partners, the Rebuilding Center and Community Warehouse, the City is now offering a Reuse Area to collect items and materials in good, usable condition. Green Century Recycling will also be on-site to collect e-waste for proper recycling.

Wood Village Community Members Only

Pleas provide proof of address at the event:

  • Driver's License or State ID
  • Utility Bill
  • Rent/Mortgage Payment Stub

Materials List

Bulky Waste Acceptable Materials
Appliances

Ex: Washers, dryers, water heaters, stoves, fridges, and other large appliances, microwaves, and other small appliances

Carpets & Paddings

Ex: Carpet & padding cut into rolls

Furniture

Ex: Sofas, sofa beds, chairs, futons, dressers, tables, cabinets, bookshelves, desks, and other similar household furniture items

Mattresses

Ex: All mattress sizes, frames, and box springs

Metal

Ex: Bed frames, scrap metal, pipes, file cabinets, shelving unit, exercise equipment, bikes, lawnmowers, BBQs, gardening equipment (all oil & gas must be removed)

Miscellaneous Household Items

Ex: Window blinds, brooms, mops, toilets, sinks, tires (off rim), etc.

Electronic Recycling

Ex: (Broken) TV's DVD and VCR players, stereo equipment and speakers, computers, monitors, printers and other hardware items, lamps, vacuums

Bulky Waste Unacceptable Materials
Construction Debris (not limited to)

Ex: Concrete, plaster, dirt, rocks, roofing, bricks, fluorescent fixtures, scrap wood, plywood, fence/deck debris, vinyl floor, siding, sheetrock, windows, and doors

Clothes
Food
Glass & Mirrors
Hazardous Waste Chemicals (not limited to)

Ex: Paints, pesticides, solvents, cleaning agents/products, gas, oil, coolants/antifreeze, lawn, garden, and pool chemicals

Materials Containing Asbestos
Oversized Items

Ex: Pianos, hot tubs, etc.

Putrescible Solid Waste

Ex: Household garbage/waste of any kind, including kitchen or bathroom trash

Yard Debris & Waste

Ex: Sod, sticks, leaves, grass clippings, limbs

Ink/Toner Cartridges
Reuse Area Materials

All items must be in good, usable condition. No garbage or waste, asbestos containing materials, PCBs, toxic or flammable products, batteries, contaminated plumbing, containers that may have held chemicals of any kind or pest infestations.

Rebuilding Center

Dimensional lumber, plywood, large appliances, lawn & hand tools, bricks & pavers (all must be in good, usable condition)

Furniture, kitchen wares (pots, pans, dishes, glasses, serving ware, etc.), small kitchen appliances, mirrors, lamps, TVs, small household electronics
