Please join us for a presentation at the Wood Village City Hall on March 11, 2020 on a Municipal Broadband Study throughout Multnomah County and how to provide affordable internet access to the citizens of Wood Village.
The City of Wood Village has partnered with Multnomah County and other area cities in the largest municipal broadband study in the county. While the City and other jurisdictions are served with existing high-speed internet, it is not always affordable or even available in all areas. As more and more services go online, and new innovations such as online healthcare become available, access to affordable and reliable high-speed internet will become even more important. Cost-effective broadband services is also a way to generate economic development by attracting new and growing businesses to the area. This study, which will be completed in April is looking at different development models and approaches to help ensure that everyone has access to affordable broadband internet.
