RRFB Crossing Construction at Wood Village Blvd RFP

We are seeking proposals from qualified contractors licensed in the State of Oregon until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, for intersection improvements and crosswalk construction on Wood Village Blvd. Work includes:

• Crosswalk with solar-powered rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFB)
• ADA-compliant curb-cut ramps with sidewalk grade adjustment.
• Striping and signage for intersection modification
• Demolition of existing sidewalk and pavement saw-cutting
• Temporary erosion and sedimentation control
• Temporary traffic control

All work is within Multnomah County Right-of-Way and is done under permit and approval of the Multnomah County Transportation Department. The City will procure all permits for construction.

Work hours will be limited to between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday work will require prior request by the contractor and approval by City Manager. Documentation and inspection shall be performed by City staff.

Project Dates:

Bid Opening: March 4, 2025                                                 

Award of Contract: March 11, 2025

Notice to Proceed: March 12, 2025

Completion deadline: June 15, 2025

Special Requirements

Proposers shall be aware that this project is subject to compliance with Prevailing Wage Rate Laws and Federal Labor Standards. Proposals are to be mailed or delivered to the City of Wood Village Public Works Department, 24200 NE Halsey St., Wood Village, OR 97060-1095. Proposals shall be identified on the exterior of the sealed envelope including bidder’s name, address, and business license number. Proposers shall include with their proposal a Bid Bond to the amount of 5% of the Bid price. Proposers must show that they are licensed and bonded in Oregon.
