NE 236th Ave Pavement Rehabilitation

The City of Wood Village is seeking proposals from qualified bidders for street resurfacing and storm sewer improvements on NE 236^th Ave between Shannon St and Shamrock Dr. Proposals will be accepted until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 21,2026.

Project Description

Work includes demolition and replacement of approximately 2025 square yards of asphalt pavement surface and installation of four stormwater catch basins connecting to the existing system. Project deliverables include:

• Right of way and erosion control permitting. Permit costs will be paid by the City.
• Removal and disposal of 2.5” existing asphalt surface and 1.5” of existing base rock.
• Grading and proof roll remaining base rock.
• Vibratory compaction equipment for HMAC compaction is not permitted.
• Placement of 4” Level 1 or 2 HMAC pavement in two lifts.
• City is responsible for compaction testing during HMAC placement.
• Removal and disposal of one existing catch basin and 10 LF of storm drain pipe.
• Installation of three grate inlet stormwater catch basins, one curb inlet, and approximately 64 LF of ductile iron storm drain pipe.
• Site traffic control including coordination of residential access for affected properties. Contractor shall prepare traffic control plan for approval by City.
• Accommodate garbage collection on Thursdays.
• Site erosion and sedimentation control. Contractor shall designate a qualified erosion control manager.
• Final Inspection and walk-through

Special Requirements

Proposals are to be mailed or delivered to the City of Wood Village Public Works Department, 24200 NE Halsey St., Wood Village, OR 97060-1095. Proposals shall be identified on the exterior of the sealed envelope including bidder’s name, address, and business license number. Proposers shall include with their proposal a Bid Bond to the amount of 5% of the Bid price. Proposers must show that they are licensed and bonded in Oregon.

This project is subject to compliance with Prevailing Wage Rate Laws and Federal Labor Standards. As required by these laws, the Contractor shall provide certified payroll documents. Bidders shall submit first-tier subcontractor disclosure documentation equivalent to WH-179 form within two hours after the bid opening in accordance with State Laws. If there are no subcontractors that require disclosure, the form is required with “NONE” listed as an entry. Per ORS 279C.370, failure to submit disclosure form will disqualify bid from consideration.
